Tibet, a land in which with all the probabilities Tibetans will never get back!

In 1950 when, a 40s thousands strong men from the Mao Zedong's "People's Liberation Army" invaded the Tibetan's nation, and ravened systematically on the gentle and peaceful inhabitans of that country. Since then, a cultural genocide has taken a hold all over the Tibetan's land, a continuous perpetrating action by the dictatorial Chinese's regime. What was its aim back then, as well nowadays? A resolute mass annihilation and submissiveness of what has been (during the all Tibetan's history-lasted more then 20 centuries), "a land of peace and serenity".

After 60 years of blood and unspoken violence on the indigenous people of Tibet, the death toll (subsequently, to the Chinese brutal invasion) has approximately reached the 1.2 million, and more then a million of Chinese people has been helped by the government of the People's Republic of China to relocate and settle in Tibet, in an attempt to complete the colonization started in the 50s.

In 1991 the Dalai Lama alleged that Chinese settlers in Tibet were creating "Chinese Apartheid":

The new Chinese settlers have created an alternate society: a Chinese apartheid which, are denying Tibetans equal social and economic status in our own land, threatens to finally overwhelm and absorb us.

Still, the Tibetans don't want to fade away, to a forced colonization and assimilation inside the People's Republic of China and neither, to be relegated to a ghetto or worst, a reservation like the Indian nations in the United states. They want to keep their culture alive, they don't want to die out like the dinosaurs "in a mass extinction"!

The Tibetans, after a vainly pursue for a dialog with the Beijing's authoritarian regime, they have come to realize ultimately, that it's like one way dialog. While, the Tibetans are asking for a wishful autonomy, in the same time Beijing's abstruseness won't be listening to any of their fundamental pleas. They are not asking for a full independency anymore, as many times the same Dalai Lama as explicitly stated, but more likely an autonomy for Tibetans to protect their own culture. An autonomy similar to one of the two special administrated regions: either the Hong Kong region or, the Macao region. He has even declared in many interviews, that the Tibetans are a minority inside the Chinese nation and therefore, to accept Tibet as a part of China.

What more, Beijing wants?

Wasn't already enough for, the Beijing regime to have seized their nati
on and now, they are taking the identity of a distinctive and proud nation away, as well!!! What more, can they ask? Maybe, a full annihilation of the Tibetans as a race from earth's face. Then maybe, would it suffice for Beijing?

Tibet, the next new Palestine in Asia.

In Tibet right now, it's flaming a new kind of fight against the oppressor. Like the "Palestinians intifada", the Tibetan oppositions are switching from a passive struggle, to a more active and sometime extreme fight against their oppressor.

Future implications.

Today the risk is, of a new Palestine crisis under the shadow of the Himalaya. Beijing, as well many democratic nations don't fully realize that today, they are missing a last opportunity for a peaceful and profound solution, in this martyrized region of the world. Tomorrow, will be far too late for dialogue!

Till these days, economic factors have prevented most of the democratic nations to take some serious action against the Beijing regime, and unfortunately for the same reasons, not much of the Tibetans' future will change in the next decades
.

Tibet on fire.

Category:

Tibet is in turmoil since, the Tibetan monks started protesting against the Chinese regime. The exiled Dalai Lama denounced a “cultural genocide” toward the Tibetan people coming from the Chinese occupation, but in the same time he's contrary to boycott the Chinese Olympiad because as he said, "China's people deserve it". The Dalai Lama (the spiritual and political leader of Tibet) has declared in the past that, he doesn't seek full independence anymore, but he would accept for his people an autonomy and in the same time, the respect for Tibetan's human rights.

Meanwhile in Lhasa, the situation seem more quite since the Chinese police forces has managed to crackdown the demonstrations. The Tibetan exiled government in Dharamsala has declared that, at least 80 people had died following the Tibetan turmoils, while Chinese authorities said that only 10 civilians have died.

Right now, the Chinese police and military forces are refraining themselves for more strong actions becau
se, the Chinese authority are afraid that crackdown on demonstrators could lead to more bloodshed and consequently China have some implications for, the holding of the Summer Olympics.

In my humble opinion, an authoritarian government which treads on human rights so despicably even on his own people, doesn't deserves it the privilege of holding the Summer Olympics anyway, and because of this authoritarian regime which defeats the spirit of the Olympics, by holding it. Therefore, democratic Nations should boycott it. I know, that many Chinese people are counting in this big event but, they should reflect that nothing is going to change for the people of China in the near future even with, the upcoming Olympiad. Until China is ruled by an authoritarian regime such as the Beijing Communist party, very little hope have left the Chinese people for, the so much gasped freedom they deserve. In the very end, the Olympics are just a palliative administered by the "Chinese Communist Party" for, the real needs of a -Free and Just- Chinese society, nothing more!
