Are Western societies turning a blind eye on the danger of a radicalised Islam?

Lately, I have read on a newspaper about an Arab father (his name is Parviz Khan) who was sentenced to a life in prison in England because, he was giving his 5 years old son, lessons of hate and how to be a kamikaze.

Maybe, a moderate Islam doesn't even exist?

My personal thoughts on the Islamic world is changing by the minute, after reading newspapers and watching videos by those Imams that are preaching hate toward the Western cultures and their religion. I started to question if, Islam is really a religion of peace and tranquility or, else. Fortunately, we all live in free and democratic societies, where allows us to question anything and anyone but, for how long! If Islam is in reality, a kind of Arab colonialism in disguise while, western societies are turning a blind eye on this danger then, we are seriously putting our future at risk.

Most Muslims in the Western societies are making very clear that, they have no intention whatsoever of being integrated into the host society. In fact, they are repeatedly asking to implement Sharia Laws, in country like England, Italy, Norway, Germany and so on.

Islamisation, no thanks!

We should seriously start asking ourselves even here in the States if, it's time to see this emerging problem in its true color as, a threat to our cultures and ways of life! Now it's time to act, before we will close our chances for survival, by making new laws and enforcing them on immigrants which won't accept our ways of life. They are free to come in our societies if they want to but, they have to fully integrate and accept our costumes and ways of thinking or otherwise be deported. I know it sounds a little too harsh but, what other ways we have to insure that our cities won't be ruled by some Sharia laws? Can you image, in a not so far fetched future our city's streets could be roamed by sharia's police, that will be really the end of everything of our societies are based on, the freedom of each single citizen!
Anyone could be stoned to death for committing some "illicit actions" and even if, what some Imams are saying was true, that they will apply the Sharia only on Arab/Muslim population, how could we allow such degradation in morality to ever happen in modern societies! We shouldn't allow this barbaric belief to, even been contemplated in our world.


We all should stand firm in what we believe, the freedom of each individual is more important then any stupid, archaic, misconception coming from any religion. We shouldn't allow any barbaric Sharia laws to be rooted in our lands differently, western societies won't survive to this cataclysmic insult to humanity. The game stops here or, they accept our ways of life or, they should be booted out from our countries if, they will refuse obstinately to obey our own laws and won't fully integrate in our societies, that's it!

It's shocking this news that arrives from Italy, for me that I've been living in the States for over twenty years, how much little value still can have human life, especially female ones, in those muslim countries where familiar honor counts more of a daughter who, rebels to the hard rules of the Islam...
Even though in our not much remote past, may happend similar things, this doesn't means to remove anything from the gravity over the fact.
Any crime similar to this one, due to a person of this or that religion isn't that importan, we don't need comparisons, with similar cases present or past, all are to be condemned.
Regarding the news media, they do their job, even though some time they emphasize too much in a specific case.
Here in America, that i know, I've not seen similar cases such those happening in all Europe.
Now where is the difference among those imigrants arriving in Europe, and those arriving here (meaning States)?
Here in the United States, laws are much harsh, and regard anyone, not attenuating accepted, if you segregate a daughter, or strictly punish her for any reason you go strait to jail "end of discussions".
If then you kill the daughter, risks here a truly large "life in jail or worst death penalty".
No excuses accepted, or analysis are due, if you are just arrived here by airplane or native, or if you are of Christian faith or Muslim that doesn't make any difference, follow the rules or you pay the consequences.
Not sharia's laws or honor's laws, are applied from the Muslims of here', and they not wait generations in order to integrate themselves.
Here a Pakistan, an Indian or a person of whichever other nation as soon as arrived, understands at once the rules of the game and consequently adapt himself.
Why doesn't the same has to apply in Europe?

even in Italy we have laws and Hina's father has been condemned to a 30 years penitentiary as I remember.

in America, in spite of the capital punishment, horrible things happening anyway.
think at the last infanticide, the Baby Grace case.

I don't believe that the States has anything to teach to Italy or to the whole Europe.

My comment wasn't referring more on the specific case, nor even if in Italy were happening more or less homicide cases than in America, or if the capital punishment has any effects, as deterrent in it's actualization.
Nothing is perfect even here, we already know that.
My comment was based on how the immigrants adapt themselves to the American culture and mentality, through a strengthening/imposition of laws.
Before an immigrant makes a criminal action based on his own "background" he thinks it twice, even for cases such as “families honor”.
Take a look at the statistics, in Europe with immigrants and all the things happening there, maybe, because it wasn't prepared, and therefore wasn't adequate enough to the new emerging situation in time.
All these new immigrants whose arriving in big masses, are creating a situation which was never seen before, and like I said before they won't adequate at once to the new reality.
Here in America there are little expectations, or adequate yourself to the new laws and mentality or you are enforced to leave.
Immigrants obey to the laws, if a father/mother doesn't send to school a daughter/son they get in troubles, if a young person that goes to school has livid in his/her face the police intervenes at once, and in the majority of the cases at the first offense, the offender are deported.

I repeat doesn't import from what religion you are, or what nation you come from, here laws are respected by everybody, culture and mentality afterward are promptly assimilated, not because they like them and accept them willingly, but since the law is imposed on them, in this way their own cultural luggages are left behind in their native countries.
That's so true that sometime I think the United States more than a democracy is in reality a dictatorship, but in the other hand with all these “mix of cultures”, it has very little choices, since it would be in a total chaos, each of us because of a different ethnic background could decide to isolate himself from the rest of the community and carry out his own personal baggage of medieval cultures.
If a father can force his own will on a daughter because his own religion/tradition beliefs, till the point of killing her, why the state can not do the same, by imposing it's own rules, if an immigrant wants to live in Europe, must accepts the common ways of standard living and thinking of the accommodating country.

Undoubtedly in the States everything and more happens but there is a major integration.
I believe in Italy the laws are in place and are FOR EVERYONE to be respected, without making any exceptions/justifications because some of them come from a culture with other customs ect..ect..in the other hand I don't believe to punish "in an exemplary way" the immigrants.
Are needed equal punishments for equal crimes and a fast justice, real and, in fact, just.

Today in many European countries, Muslim women wearing head scarves and veils has become a subject of great controversies and debates.
Muslim women wear head scarves for traditional reasons.
For some of them may be a desire to assert their identity as Muslims, but for some others, its just an imposition from their families.
It should be noted, before I move on with the subject, that not all Muslim women wear head scarves, some wear both head covering and veil, others wear merely simple head scarves.
The Burqa and Chador cover the woman from head to toe, and are worn in some Muslim countries.

Sharia law and mediaeval customs, are becoming increasingly common in the heart of Christian Europe.
Nations like France, England, Germany, Italy, Greece, and many more, are trying to find a middle ground in accommodating these new facets, of a new and multicultural societies.
Allowing wearing head scarves, and in the same time banning religious symbols from school rooms.
Such case happened in Bavaria where a Constitutional Court decided that the state law, of banning Muslim women from wearing headscarves when teaching was not unconstitutional, but in the same time banning any religion symbols even Christian ones, such as the Christian cross from school classes.
In Italy happened the same controversy where the state, allowed young girls to wear head scarves and try to remove the christian cross from every school, but was enforced to step back, from the last decision of removing crosses from schools after, an upper roar of the Italian population.

Now, I'm in favor for the Muslim women, to wear head scarves, and only if they decide freely to do so, and not been dictated or conditioned by prejudices and moralities, or imposed by sharia dressing codes,
and in the same time I want to point out one thing that, " I have an objection to veils and chadors, the reasons are promptly explainable: you never know, who is behind a totally covered face, even a criminal could hide behind it".
But, don't remove those Christian symbols from schools, because they don't represent just religious meanings, but also symbols of national identities,and unities.
Symbols of our past, where we came from, and who we are!
May be mine, is a one sided view because I'm Christian, and European (even though I've been living in the States for over two decades), but if you choose to remove those symbols, as I said, you are removing in the same time a part of my own identity.

Today, thanks to a continues flow of emigrants in Europe, which a big part come from Muslim countries, taking with them a burden of ancient costumes and beliefs, colliding in a new reality, with the European ways of standard living, convening afterward, anti-Muslim sentiments toward these communities.
These new communities, don't seek integration within the social tissues of the new accommodating country, but at the contrary they, are isolating themselves within their own communities, and in the same time applying rigid traditions and laws.
Those same laws (sharia-laws) already deeply intrinsic in their own countries of origins.

I conclude here saying:

These growing numbers of unintegrated Muslims, unchecked will in the end if European States, won't enforce them to embracing a more open and free society, in the end as I said, European Western civilizations will suffer, and be the ultimate victims of these retrograded mentalities, and ultimately, won't help either Muslim women get rid of those bounds, which keep them till these days, entrapped in a men's world of segregation, submission, and discrimination.

Actually, in Jordan, there are three penal code articles that offer leniency to the perpetrators of these crimes--Articles 97, 98, and 340. Article 340 is rarely, if ever, used. Usually, Article 98, having to do with crimes committed in a "fit of fury" is used as a defense.
Syria has comparable laws offering leniency to the killers.
And in countries like Iraq, Pakistan, and Turkey, which have reformed their laws to effect stiffer penalties, female suicide rates have shot up.
It's believed that now, instead of doing the killings themselves, the perpetrators are forcing girls and women to kill themselves, so they can avoid punishment.
These are being called "honor" suicides.

Thanks for your inputs in this matter.
I'm quite stoned of this new developments, these new ways of circumnavigate the laws in these countries by enforcing women to kill themselves is really appalling to any human conscience.
When I started this blog I recalled a motto I heard sometime ago to best describe it " More of us, are talking about a matter, more chances our future will get".

Unfortunately in these cases it fits the scope.
This is one way I hope, to help these unfortunate women: more of us are talking about these crimes, more chances of forcing these people in listening, to how outraged is humanity against their misdeeds.
We'll keep talking until their barbaric codes of honor will in the end stop.
Right now I'm so enraged after reading these comments, that I'm afraid I can write something which I'll regret later.

One thing for sure, regarding this matter I'll keep posting more from now on till, all these senseless killings will one day cease!

In London, a 70-year-old woman and her son were convicted July 26 for the honor killing of Surjit Kaur Athwal, who was murdered after threatening to get a divorce.
Both the woman and her son face life sentences in prison.
The verdict came a week after a British court concluded proceedings in the sexual torture and murder of a Kurdish woman, Banaz Mahmod, at the hands of her father and uncle, who both received life sentences.
A third man involved in the honor killing was sentenced to 17 years in prison; two others are still at large.
A woman from India, a 31-year-old widow and mother of two children (ages 12 and 13), committed suicide by throwing herself in front of a train, because her family had summoned her back to India to marry an old relative (70 years).
She apparently left a letter to explain that she preferred to die rather than to do this.
The children are now with a foster family until the Italian courts decide further.

It's difficult to get precise numbers on the phenomenon of honor killing; the murders frequently go unreported, the perpetrators unpunished, and the concept of family honor justifies the act in the eyes of some societies.

If a woman brings shame to the family
through allegations of premarital or extramarital sex, by refusing an arranged marriage, or attempting to obtain a divorce--her male relatives are bound by duty and culture to murder her.

'Honor' killing spurs outcry in Syria.
A 16-year-old's killing spurred the country's grand mufti to call for legal reform and protections.
Damascus: Experts estimate that between 200 and 300 honor killings take place each year in Syria.

It's a sort of epidemic in Arab countries, and unfortunately this decease, as not been left behind when emigrants had moved into western nations.
Murderers are not just husbands, fathers, sons, any man of a family is entitle to make justice if, a female member will dishonor their own " honor".

Women are not just killed for matters of honor, but in other cases such as, dressing "immodestly" they can be harshly punished by having caustic acids thrown on their faces for not covering it well enough, or in other cases for wearing jeans, or jewels.
Other times they are just lapidated.
Attacking women in such horrible ways is neither acceptable nor can be allowed, but still it keeps on, reinforced by sharia-laws.

The condition of Muslim women, may be the most pressing women's issue of our age, the world needs to wake up, is not a matter of religions or national identities, but of humanity, we can't stand still while, all these keep perpetrating in the name of ancients, and some time barbaric beliefs.
