Why God, why me?

Category:

Today, I would like much to entertain all of you in a long and very futile conversation on God and his preferred creation, a true product of perfection: the human being.

In this passionate and mindless conversation of mine, would I try to unravel the eternal and yet unsolved mystery on the human creation (if indeed there were any?).

Not, no really! It will be a simple questionnaire on the human existence and its earthly sufferings - and it'll be mostly based on the questionable rhetoric from religious teachings regarding its condition and existence in this planet, or it'll be more based on rationality nerd?

Maybe it will be a mix of both or else? At any rate, after that I'll be done with all of my nonsense, we'll see what will come out (hopefully everything will make sense gile).

Why God, why me?

Throughout critical circumstances of my life, I was often used to cry:

Why God?
God why me?
God why I have to suffer?

...and of course, the most obvious one:

My God, what I have done to deserve it?

...I was looking very hard to find some answers (any answers) to questions from a God, who never gave any.

Today, in trying to help myself to find some answers, I'll use a kind of very eccentric criterion. In this criterion to formulate this my naive and somewhat crazy assumption, I'll be using (as usual) solely my incorrect reasoning. - Duh! eek

My religion has taught me, to invoke God in times of misery and sufferings by looking hard inside my own soul, my own spirituality. However, in the end, because my invocations were left unanswered by an indisposed God, and hence I felt alone and miserable. Consequentially, I was always led to the less spiritual part of myself, my brain (gelakguling), in order to get some comfortable answering.

Maybe it's that there aren't really any valid reasons or religious explanations, for the existence of humanity or its sufferings? They are just there!

Perhaps, the human being was just dumped on this lonely planet not by a supreme being, but rather by violent random acts, which were generated from a constant expanding universe?

Do I have lost my faith, and thus I became an atheist or worst a sinner nangih? Maybe I have, or perhaps it's just that I'm still searching for a tiny speck of evidence that God really does exist?

After all, the perceiving and understanding for the mystery over the creation of mankind, isn't it perhaps an integral part of an elevated and rational mind? If yes, then why we need the help of a monotheistic religion (setan) while coping with our daily doubts and misfortunes?

P.S. Gee, I've just realized that this article comes with too many maybe and also many question marks! I'm really sorry for all that.Signature

Mankind God's creation! Isn't it so? (The Darwin's theory).

Category:

Simple questions on God and on humankind existence.

In times of spiritual crisis we look to a God for answers. But what if the God we are looking for, will never answer to our questions?

I have to admit that I have been doubtful of God existence since...ever. My soul has being deeply scourged by trying to answer a so troublesome question of: what if, never been there a God? A God to call upon in times of life's spiritual crisis!

I must say that I'm under the catholic denomination not by choice, but by imposing it on me since my birth. In an attempt to find the right answer of if there was a God, I had to give a more introspective look inside my own spirituality. But when I did it, I came out hand emptied, or at least I was more doubtful then before.

In truth, mankind needed and still needs a God, because of its helplessness towards a world full of unseen fears and uncertainties. That's why, it needed to rely on the faith of a God. The certainty of a God's faith, or multiple Gods' faith (was better to have an abundance of them, in times of scarcity they never knew when one was needed) to comfort and help humanity to sustain itself in a world full of dangers and doubts.

Indeed mankind from its birth, to keep its spirit and body survive the harsh reality of a selvage environment, it needed to nourish them with certainties by creating a supreme being capable to give reassurances (...and possibly with the touch of some miracles).

That's why God came to be.

After all the above reflexions, I knew I had to look in different directions if I wanted some serious answers to my own doubts. And besides, back then I knew that in my personal journey toward the truth. A truth that could had easily upset not only my defined world, but humanity's world too (as already this revelation had).

Of course
, only the insanity of a questioning mind could have given more realistic answers. Answers on which many well-meant (religious) people could have easily rejected.

In the end, the only answer I came up with was science.

A not so lucrative prospect for my poor soul.

Indeed science had already all the answers that I needed, but my obstinate religiosity wanted to reject. Science was definitively the only way to go, if I wanted some answers to all of my uncertainties.

In the same time I knew that by using science to dispute the existence of God, I was also beginning to dispute God's creations, in particular the mankind creation. I never truly believed that mankind was a God's creation, but I had to quiet down the spiritual part of me which was kicking back at the idea of a world without a God.

After all, I was deeply indoctrinated in God's belief and it was very hard to reject the existence of God and the God's creations. As I said, I had to easy my fears down while I was embracing heretic concepts, or else I felt that I was condemning my Godless soul to an eternal damnation.

Charles Robert Darwin and his controversial theory on men's evolution.

Charles Robert Darwin, who was this guy? He was an English naturalist who devoted his life on studies in the evolution of all the species living on earth (humans included), through a process he called, "natural selection".

With the book, "On the Origin of Species" Charles Darwin introduced the theory that all the world species evolve over the course of generations through a process named, "natural selection".

Darwin's theory implied that the mankind had followed the same process of evolution as the rest of all earth species, Which meant, that God itself had nothing to do with man's creation, but humanity had a more humble origin.

Sad, but true!

Nowadays, most of us know that the birthplace of all humanity was Africa, and its forefathers were descendants from chimpanzees. In fact, there wasn't any divine's design on the creation of humankind, but it was just a random event that fortunately (or unfortunately) created humanity. Nonetheless, the creation-evolution debate goes on to this day.

*****

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Creation-evolution controversy.

The creation-evolution controversy (also termed the creation vs. evolution debate or the origins debate) is a recurring political dispute about the origins of the Earth, humanity, life, and the universe, between those who espouse the validity and superiority of a particular religiously-based creation myth and the scientific consensus, particularly in the field of evolutionary biology, but also in the fields of geology, palaeontology, thermodynamics, nuclear physics and cosmology.

This debate is most prevalent in generally conservative regions of the United States. There is little serious debate on the subject outside the United States. It is often portrayed as part of the culture wars. While the controversy has a long history, today it is mainly over what constitutes good science, with the politics of creationism primarily focusing on the teaching of creation and evolution in public education.

The debate also focuses on issues such as the definition of science (and of what constitutes scientific research and evidence), science education (and whether the teaching of the scientific consensus view should be 'balanced' by also teaching fringe theories), free speech, separation of Church and State, and theology (particularly how different Christian denominations interpret the Book of Genesis).

Within the scientific community and academia the level of support for evolution is essentially universal, while support for biblically-literal accounts or other creationist alternatives is very small among scientists, and virtually nonexistent among those in the relevant fields.

The debate is sometimes portrayed as being between science and religion. However, as the National Academy of Sciences states:
“ Today, many religious denominations accept that biological evolution has produced the diversity of living things over billions of years of Earth’s history. Many have issued statements observing that evolution and the tenets of their faiths are compatible. Scientists and theologians have written eloquently about their awe and wonder at the history of the universe and of life on this planet, explaining that they see no conflict between their faith in God and the evidence for evolution. Religious denominations that do not accept the occurrence of evolution tend to be those that believe in strictly literal interpretations of religious texts.

*****

And in spite of all the above, I wanted to keep an open mind at the possibility of a, "God's mystery" which spurred the all creation together with the humankind. After all, I'm a God's imperfect creation with all of his weaknesses and in needing of some comforting from the Almighty (...and hopefully to have still a reservation in heaven ). Does it make sense to you?!?

Religions, the panacea for all mankind woes?

Category:

In this article I use a different approach to Islam teachings view and not only Islam, but in addition, any other religion teachings.

I may not agree with Islam religion teachings, neither with Jewish religion teachings or, I may even disagree with my own religion teaching (which by the way it's Catholicism), but in particular the case of Islam. As I wrote ones, I will never show my disapproval to someone opinions with homicidal aims, that's against my personal (and not related it, to any religion whatsoever) beliefs. I know, this article may sounds somewhat too simplistic in the end, but I'm trying to make my point across, even though it won't be a completely, exhaustive and logical approach at my argumentation, partly because it will take too many postings thus, I'm forced to come up with a summarized and limited version of my personal view on religions. In an attempt of a better explanation, I will go about it in all different directions.

*****

I do not believe, to the goodness that religions bring to humanity nowadays. When I see a human being standing in front of my eyes, I won't evaluate him, from his skin color or, ideology and even less from his faith, but I see him as equal.

I'm Catholic only by name, but not by choice. In fact, I'm not so sure to believe in my religion or, any other religion, I'm not even sure if, to believe in God or, for the mere fact in any other God. Therefore, you can say: am I an atheist? No, not even that! Even the word "atheism", sounds like it belongs to a kind of religion. In a way, I believe in some sort of religion. The religion of science. You can say that's not a religion, and I can't agree more, but that's the only real thing I firmly believe in. Science is the only sure thing that can gives us all the answers we need in life's crisis events.

I know, mankind came out from Africa, our real mother land, the cradle of all human races was indeed, Africa. Back in those prehistoric times, the first humans were with animal instincts. Our forefathers were indeed, apes. To a religion, any religion to just pronounce that yesterday as well today, it will mark you as a blasphemer. When, the first human beings moved out of Africa still with inborn animal instincts, their first settlements were in the middle east. Also, right in that precise moment in the very beginning of the first human communities, the first unsophisticated laws in the prehistory of humanity were born out the basic needs of a more peaceful living together. In fact, from apes like behavior to a more humans behavior, the stealing from each others pieces of fresh raw meat coming from small preys just killed wasn't anymore accepted as humanity, grew up to be more conditioned by moralities dictated from their own evolving intellects.

Contemporaneously, when those archaic laws in the humanity prehistory sprung out from the need of a more harmonious living together amongst human beings, also, the first unrefined religions based on many deities were born.

In those prehistorical days, the first human beings were more apelike and when they started to gaze the skys then, the surrounding nature and probably saw for the first time their images reflecting in a pool of water. Subsequently they realized that, they were in fact living, thinking beings with questions, a lots questions of, where they came from and why they were to be? I can't figure how hard must been for them, to not find any acceptable answers at their questioning of why they were alive. Those first primordial human beings, with all the probability got in a deep emotional distress when asked themselves those questions. Who were them, why they were put there? Humanity first crisis has etched in its self-awareness for the first time, a spiritual crisis which could lead them to a path of insanity. But, in its early stage humanity had found a plausible answer within its self-awareness, it found spirituality and consequently, it had found something else. Humanity had found religion, of course not that kind of monotheistic religions we know today, but was the kind of religion based on objects found in the surrounding areas where humans were used to dwell. When humanity needed comfort in times of crisis, humans started to worship unanimated object, like a stone or, an animal skull or, even things like wind, rain, water or, fire. Even though, those common objects were not living things, humanity gave to those idols divine powers. Humanity gave them the power to make rain or, the power to make humans less vulnerable to diseases or, to be more skilled hunters. Those same idols which humanity gave those divine powers, also, these idols gave to humans all the answers they needed to overcome all their doubts and crisis.

Religions, an answer to all humanity daily concerns?

When the first civilization has began, it also started its first chapter on human history with religions as a part of it. unfortunately, even though in the beginnin
g of human history, religions and the worshiping of many deities was a kind of help for the jump start of the human civilizations, when humans began more sophisticated, also they were more demanding from religions, they sought from them more answers to their doubts and crisis.

Religions have been the main excuse for many bloody wars, in battlefield around the world.

In the beginning, civilizations were based on chaotic and violent societies and the laws of men were not enough to rule on them. Humanity, consequently wanted religions to be more intertwined within their societies by superimposing and sometime even by replacing internal politics and laws.

In these societies, there were men that thought humanity needed guidance from the Gods and religions. Those same men were the voice and the prophets of God. They told to the common mortals that, God himself gave them all the answers humanity needed to overcome all the problems societies have created. That's when, religions starts to collide with the daily realities of humanity.

Religions should be thought only as a spiritual guidance in support of spiritual crisis, not to be mixed with the men's political makings, let alone, to be it dictated and imposed upon the moralities of societies. I'm not against any religion, but in particular case such as Islam, I have doubts and reservations. Hence, I'm afraid that in this modern age Islam may take the world to a near abyss if, it should not reform itself and adapt to a more free and democratic world by been more tolerant to every human being living on the face of planet earth, regardless of his/her behavioral tendency, religion or, sex.

Amen.

Battles for the civilization.-"Euthanasia."

Category:

Euthanasia another moral dilemmas.

What are Catholic perspectives on euthanasia.
I'm catholic, and the Catholic church speaks against "euthanasia as a violation of the sanctity of life".

It's easy to say life is sacred, but when we get personally involved in this human tragedy, or what if the one to suffer in a reversal of role would be the ones who denies a peacefully dismissal from the earthly sufferings to a terminal ill patient, we still be able to say life is sacred!
If we the deniers, are willing to be tortured day by day, and afterward still keep our convictions that life is sacred, than we can decide for a denial to those requests.

The right to a decent life means also, a quality life.

There isn't any quality of life in a terminally ill patient.
Who are we, to denied a terminally ill person, his request for a peacefully dismissals from t
his world.
The right of a "dignifying death" rather than, a prolonged life of suffering from unbearable chronic pains w
hile, trying to extend his life, through an "aggressive medical treatments" in my humble opinion, it's not a life to live.
In Truth, we are only prolonging his suffering, and I don't see any real compassion in doing that.
I believe no one has the rights to deny someone will to die when, he has no hope to survive his illness.
We'll be guilty as tortures with their victims, whil
e keeping him hooked on support machines in a precarious way of living, that's a sin.
I don't see a
ny civilization in all this, and I firmly believe even God won't accept it.
In the end, I a
m for proposals to legalize euthanasia for patients who are suffering unbearably with no prospect of improvement.
Of course d
ifferent organizations should keep a monitoring eye in the process, to prevent abuses of the system if, this will ever happened.

Life on planet earth was born by causalities, not by some godly will.

Category:

Introduction:

If you are looking for a fun blog, this isn't the place you are looking for, but if you are looking for some enlightenment "maybe", you will find some in here.
This article, is a my personal deep introspective, in the human condition of achievements and, hopes.

*****

We all, born and die in t
his world by chances, not by a high will.
I don't believe, there's a path already laid in front of us, but only casual events, which determine our fates.
"Today unfortunately I am in a negative mood, probably after looking for some God answers to my prayers.
I'm a catholic only by name, but in reality I didn't choose to be it.
I came to realize that, whatever I do, the world won't stop to move forward in its destructive path."

*****

Humanity, primordial birth sprang from mother earth generosity and, afterward by co-occurrences, we were elevated to intelligent identities.
But do we, deserve this gift from mother earth?
Some time I think, we don't!
What use we mak
e of our intellects, sometime is really questionable.
Looking in our ancient history, I can say that we made of our intellects, a really bad use!
Our ancestors were apes, and like all the living beings from this planet, we were indeed rooted with animal instincts.
Only with time, and only by accidents, we succeed finally to get toward, a higher status as unique species, differentiating ourselves, from all the rest of living beings of this world.
We in fact, became thinking beings!

We are weak in our minds, we are doubtfully of our decisions, we pray for forgiveness for our own sins.
That
why we are always, looking for comfort and support to our doubts and, weaknesses, in a perennial need of guidances, and reassurances from something that isn't there.
We are not unique in God's eyes, because isn't there any God looking upon us.
We can evolve from this stage only if, we accept who or what we really are!

(My mind is in a complex, and sometime confusedness state, due to the fact that it, is looking for answers.
Answers I won't get from anyone, except from within myself.
This is only a phase of my personal life, I hope, I'll get through this like other times, may be with...God help?
Now I've been controversial!
Indeed I am, but only because I'm human, and as all the rest of humanity I'm weak, and prone to mistakes, and therefore looking for assurances to my doubts, but in the same time I know, I can count only on my intellect to overcome this stage.)

As humanity in its superior intellect may one day, realize that needs to take care for the world in its entirety, including all the living beings on it, because it is the only one we have and than, only than, when we will realize all this, we may one day achieve to another stage of human evolution, we will elevate ourselves close to God.

We'll be more God like because, we finally will manage our fates "our existences are only in our hands".

All this can be debatable, but irrefutably is a necessity to talk about it.
Undoubtedly, we are guided and m
otivated by contort and,
selfishness concerns, rather than selfless intents.
Intellect can be a be a distinctive factor on human consciousness, in determine our destiny.
In fact, humanity depends on its own intellect to survive and, move forward for a
better and, brighter future.
Also, when we'll le
arn to really tolerate and, take care of our less fortunate, our environment, and of all the living beings on it, than we will move closer to a high achievement.
We will become all together, an all new species.
We'll become a highly elevated beings, ready to move forward in our evolution.

What complex, and dark thoughts I got today.
Tomorrow "hopefully", will be a better day...

As final thought, an article that I found interesting, and that I recommend to read in its entirety:

*****

The Individual.

Before I go into the final outlines of Informationalism, I thought it would be best to write something solely concerning the individual. One must not forget what has been said earlier, that you cannot separate the good of the individual from the good of the species, they are one and the same.

You, can read more at this link.

9/11-The day the world realizes that the unimaginable was happening! (last part)

Category:

Brooklyn-September 11,10:30 a.m.

Now, I grabbed the phone trying to reach any of my brothers, but I couldn't reach them, I tried to contact any of my friends, but I couldn't either. I than decided to get out, looking for my car, when I saw my mother approaching me.

She asked me if, I knew of what was going on in New York, I told her that I watched the news, and I knew something about it. While I was speaking to her, I could see in her eyes, she was deeply worried, I was too, but I was carefully not to show any of my own worries to her.
I told her, I was getting in the car to get in New York, when my
cellphone ringed. Was my sister from Italy "they new from the TV news spreading already around the world", asking for my mother, I passed my cellphone to her, while noticing that slowly, one by one a small crowd was gathering around us, they were family members, and friends, who got the bad news from different sources.

At some point, I remember
paying attention to one of my young nephew, who was telling us, that while he was in school his teacher together with the class, had opened the windows and looked at the sky, after noticing smoke billowing up into the sky from Manhattan. Instinctively, I looked up at the sky at the far north I could indeed see smoke, in the reflective light I could even see very t
iny things flying in the smoke. Now, I noticed my mother talking in the cellphone to one of my brothers wife, my mother was asking her for informations if, she knew anything about her husband, her answer was she couldn't contact him.

Brooklyn-September 11,11:45 a.m.

While all these was happening, I noticed
a figure approaching us, was one of my br
others. As soon as we saw him, we approached and surrounded him, while in the same time starting questioning him. The only answers he gave us were, that he had left Manhattan after seen what was going on, and that he tried to contact the other two brothers, and left believing that they by now were safe in Brooklyn. Now, he was regretting his decision while looking at my mother face, he knew that he made a mistake. He decided to go back with me, fortunately when we were on the point to leave, my mother received another call from my cellphone this time was one of my other brothers, "Eric" who was still in New York. At that time, he was working close to where the other brother "Mike" was working at the World Trade Center, and could contact him by phone.
This brother "the one whose was working
in the World Trade Center buildings number 7", lived in Staten Island, and to get to work he went by ferryboat.

At 8:30 a.m. he arrived from Staten Island
by ferryboat, and he was walking through Manhattan to get to work, when he saw the first airplane hitting the first tower, and than he witnessed all the rest.
That day three of his colleagues died, because they got to work much earlier. A cousin of mine "Michael," who was already working in his firm inside tower number one at 37th floor, he could escape with all his colleagues as soon the first plane crashed in the tower. A couple of my acquaintances also died that day."

Brooklyn-September 11,02:15 p.m.

My two brothers, could get back in Brooklyn after a couple hours.

*****

Only in the following days the two brothers which saw all of what happened that day, even though they were reluctant in the beginning, slowly they started to tell us all the horror they saw, and how they felt that tragic morning. Even though, I had no fatalities in my family from that tragedy, I realized that moment could easily been one of them, or even myself, and was all a matter of luck if we were all safe now.

Still these todays, I think of all those people who died in that fateful day, who had no chances to see their families, eve
r again. I wonder if anything could had been done to avoid all those deaths, I feel an angry sore, thinking that I live in a big country such as the United States, and whoever was in charge at that time in preventing such, tragedy could not. May be it was unforeseeable, may be. I am so enraged to those @#%&# which perpetrated this unimaginable crime till these days, and even though I don't believe personally in capital punishments in this case, I would approve it without thinking twice. Even better if, I could had them on my hands, I would make them suffer by torturing, and in the end very slowly kill them.

I hope, God would forgive me, for these terrible thoughts, but I can't I can't refrain myself from formulating t
hem in my mind. I'm angry when I think, how those people died, I can't even imagine. They went to work one day, a day like any others, while leaving their families not knowing, that........ that day was their last one. This painful thought still lingers in my mind. I remember the movie "World Trade Center" starring Nicolas Cage, which gave me an inside of what kind of horror, and sufferings of those poor souls had to deal with, before dying. While watching the movie I had tears in my eyes, that's something I ever rarely done in other dramatic events in my entire life.

A crime committed in the name of a God,

or a crime committed in the name of an ideal,
or by any other crime committed against humanity,
it's unforgivable!!!

May God, be merciful on all 9/11/ victim souls...
